Alex C. Bowman

Alex was born and raised on South Bend’s south side. He graduated from John Adams High School in 2009, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2013, and earned his juris doctor degree – with concentrations in entrepreneurship, international and comparative law – in 2016 from the Saint Louis University School of Law.

Alex brings to his legal practice a passion for serving and representing others. His peers elected him to serve as Executive Vice President, and then as President of the Student Bar Association. In these roles, Alex led the association’s many community service initiatives, working closely with St. Louis businesses and charitable organizations to facilitate a partnership between community stakeholders and the Law School. Alex was also honored to serve as the School’s student delegate to the American Bar Association’s 2015 Annual Conference.

Alex’s legal practice also draws on a wealth of clinical and practical experience. He served as a law clerk with a successful, well-respected civil litigation firm in St. Louis, during which time he worked on many diverse legal proceedings, including personal injury, “toxic tort” litigation, and civil rights claims. He also worked in the Law School’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, where he counseled numerous non-profit and start-up businesses, and participated in the Moot Court program.

Alex is thrilled to return to his hometown to practice law. When he’s not in the office, Alex enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
